Electronic Assemblies was established in Pinetown in 1969 by The Late Curlew Tribelhorn. We began manufacturing 12v power supplies, car radios, army radios and slimming machines, hence the name Electronic Assemblies. Changing times in the electronics field, caused the company to move into the electrical field in the early 1970s.
We commenced manufacturing Fibreglass Electrical Metering Boxes and Fibreglass 11000/380v Miniature Substations of which most are still standing today! Electronic Assemblies relocated from Pinetown to a new factory in Ezakheni near Ladysmith in 1988. The factory has grown ever since introducing DMC Mouldings, Refurbishment of Miniature Substations, Transformers, Fuse Pillars, 3CR12 boxes to name just a few.
Our success has been due to the fact that we manufacture many of our components , eg. leverlocks, s/s hinges, LV insulators, moulded panels, all steel fabrication, sand blasting, spraying, zinc & tin electroplating, plasma & gas profile cutting, milling, lathe turning, surface grinding etc. We also have on the floor management and 33 years of excellent customer service.
